# From software engineering to cloud architecture

I'm Yurii Serhiichuk, a Head of DevOps | Cloud Architect — Google Developer Expert and Cloud
Champion Innovator with over 10 years of commercial experience, based in Katowice, Poland.

Cloud development, Java, and Python are the work I like best. I have spent the last decade building
everything from desktop applications to huge standalone web-applications and micro-service-based
platforms, and moved from deep software engineering into leading DevOps teams and architecting
complex cloud solutions.

I'm **Head of DevOps | Cloud Architect** at **Travelshift** (since 2024), and I specialize in Cloud
Architecture, AI-assisted engineering, and FinOps — delivering scalable serverless solutions
without compromising on performance or reliability.
